Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has announced interested candidates to submit applications for the post of Chief Judicial Administrator. JSC made the announcement following recent amendments to the JSC Act, which tasks Chief Judicial Administrator with running the Department of Judicial Administration (DJA).
Currently, DJA is managed by JSC while Judicial Administrator Dr. Abdulla Nazeer has presently assumed responsibilities of the Chief Judicial Administrator. As per the new amendments, while the position of the Judicial Administrator will be abolish once the bill is ratified, the responsibility of the Chief Judicial Administrator is assigned to the Judicial Administrator until an appointment is made.
Chief Judicial Administrator is appointed for a 5-year term with a basic salary of USD 1,974, while the pay totals to USD 3,074 with other allowances. JSC informed interested individuals may submit their applications by December 9.
With the ratification of the amendments on September 3, the Chancellor of Judicial Academy Ahmed Majid has also been dismissed.
