Vice President Faisal Naseem has met Fenfushi Island Council and discussed the ongoing development projects and overall socio-economic progress in the island.
During the meeting held at the President’s Office, the council members shared with Vice President Naseem details of the main ongoing development projects in Fenfushi and the main impediments to further progress. Accordingly, the members relayed they are currently preoccupied with expediting the development of the sewerage systems of the island, allocating plots of land on which to build guesthouses, implementing water and harbour projects, as well as building sports and recreations facilities such as football fields, among other planned and proposed development projects. They also shared the scale and nature of assistance they would need from the administration to achieve their goals.
The vice president was appreciative of all of their concerns and relayed his sincere desire that they are resolved forthwith. He further reiterated he would work with the relevant stakeholders and relevant ministries to address the several important issues discussed.
