Minister of Health Abdulla Ameen has stated a significant importance will be given next year to improve the general health of the citizens. The health minister made the assurance during a meeting held with United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF)'s Regional Director for South Asia Jean Gough.
During the meeting, the regional director was updated on the health situation of Maldives and the plans of the administration to improve the sector. Furthermore, information was shared on efforts of Maldives to improve child health and the health situation of the country.
Moreover, the health minister marked 2020 as the year Maldives will commence to work towards making revolutionary changes to the health sector.
