Cooperation required to develop responsible citizens: Vice President

Vice President Faisal Naseem has highlighted the importance of collective cooperation from the government and the public to develop well behaved and responsible citizens.

Addressing the ceremony held to mark the 50th Anniversary of Nolhivanfaru School, Vice President Naseem said it is important to build a responsible society if Maldives aspire to become one of the most developed countries of the world. He stated it can be achieved only by the collective effort and cooperation from the government and the public sector.

Furthermore, the vice president noted teaching others and spreading knowledge is important, adding education is not only given from the schools but also from the whole society and the environment. Noting children must be familiarised of the job market and other skills when they graduate from schools, he expressed the importance of enhancing the support given to students to achieve the target.

Moreover, expressing Maldivian students achieve golden awards and recognition in all fields of studies, the vice president stated students becoming youth play an important role in achieving the pledged envisioned by the administration. He underscored despite the ideologies, every citizen must aspire to serve the country and build a better society for the benefit of the future.
