W&A Overseas contracted to expand Kaafu Atoll School

The Government of Maldives has contracted W&A Overseas Private Limited to construct a 4-storey building and a multipurpose hall in Kaafu Atoll School.

The government initiated the project as part of the efforts to change the schools in Maldives to a single-session. The project would cost USD 2.259 million and should be completed within a period of one year.

As part of the project, 16 classrooms, 2 changing rooms and a toilet must be constructed at the school. Also, the new infrastructure must be easily assessable to children with special needs.

The project is the first of the 20 projects to be conducted by the government this year, as part of the Public Sector Investment Programme (PSIP).
