MACCS represent Maldives at a GEF meeting

Maldives Authentic Crafts Corporative Society (MACCS) has shared experience of Maldives in minimising single use plastics.

MACCS, a private entity, was selected to feature #PlasticNoonGotheh campaign at a meeting of the Global Environment Facility (GEF). During the meeting, representatives from MACCS expressed efforts are underway to make plastics a sustainable product which are not thrown after single use.

During the meeting, participating countries agreed a programme of action aimed at bringing about transformational change around the world to address an unprecedented attack on the Earth's life-support systems.

Maldives was represented by Chairperson of MACCS Aminath Abdulla, where she highlighted the procedure of fund attaining and other environment related projects conducted in country.
