Inguraidhoo Island Council shares concerns with the President

Inguraidhoo Island Council has shared their concerns with President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih regarding the challenges faced in the development due to the lack of vital services in the island.

During the meeting held with President Solih at President’s Office, members of Inguraidhoo Council updated the president on the situation of the island and shared information on services most needed by the residents. In this regard, the council described lack of income generating activities in the island as a challenged faced by youth which increases social issues.

Moreover, the members highlighted the need for water and sewerage facilities, banking services and sports facilities in the island. The council members stated several challenges are faced due to lack of staff in health centre, adding more challenges are experienced as the island lacks a multipurpose hall.

During the meeting, president assured the administration will always work towards solving the issues faced by the citizens.
