Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) and People’s National Congress (PNC) have signed a coalition agreement.
The agreement was signed by President of PPM Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom and the interim President of PNC Abdul Raheem Abdulla.
Upon signing the agreement, Yameen said the agreement was signed to protect the rights of the people. Meanwhile, Abdul Raheem said the two parties have planned to compete in the parliamentary elections as Progressive Coalition.
Both parties have confirmed most of their candidates who would compete in the elections scheduled to be held on April 6.
