Chinese Ambassador to Maldives Zhang Lizhong has stated the people to people relationship between Maldivian and Chinese have enhanced during recent years. The Chinese ambassador made the remarks while addressing "My Story with China" forum held in Bandos Maldives.
Addressing "My Story with China" forum, Chinese Ambassador to Maldives Zhang Lizhong said people to people relationships must be established to further develop the partnership, adding the relationship have boosted in recent times.
Moreover, during the forum Chairman of China Maldives Cultural Association (CMAC) Mohamed Rasheed expressed China is a culturally rich country, highlighting spending time in China will teach Maldivians a lot. In his speech, Mohamed Rasheed highlighted the aim and objective of establishing CMAC.
Meanwhile, President of Civil Service Commission Dr. Ali Shameem noted his experiences during his time in China, 33 years ago expressing hope to establish a China cultural centre in Maldives.
The forum was organised by China Maldives Cultural Association and Chinese Embassy in Maldives.
