Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Shiham has revealed plans to initiate a five year project, with the assistance of World Bank, to provide necessary training programmes to familiarise youth for work environment.
Addressing the ceremony to present student loans, Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Shiham highlighted the importance of further enhancing the education sector. On this context, Education Minister Aishath Shiham stated that the aim will be reached by developing the educational institutions.
Moreover, the Education Minister revealed that the government has initiated a project which will commence next year to pave way to develop technical skills and human resources for corporations and to cater the inception of new career fields and opportunities.
The project will commence in July next year, stated the Education Minister adding that the aim of the government is to develop human resources, since it is investing in the future of the country.
At the ceremony, student loans were granted to 566 individuals.
