The newly appointed Ambassador of Sudan to Maldives Sirajuddin Hamid Yousif paid a courtesy call on Dr. Ali Naseer Mohamed, Foreign Secretary of Maldives.
At the meeting held this morning, the Foreign Secretary congratulated Ambassador Yousif on presenting his credentials and expressed confidence that the new Ambassador would continue to contribute to strengthening the relationship that exists between Maldives and Sudan. Foreign Secretary also reflected on the bilateral relations between the Maldives and Sudan and discussed ways of further strengthening the existing ties.
The Ambassador assured his commitment to working with the Government in strengthening the relations between the two countries and cooperation in the development of the Maldives.
Foreign Secretary was accompanied by Abdul Waris Saeed, Director at the Foreign Ministry of the Maldives.
