On the occasion of the 68th Republic Day of India, President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has conveyed felicitations to President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In his message, the President said: “On the joyous occasion of the Republic Day of India, I wish to convey, on behalf of the Government and the people of the Maldives, and on my own behalf, warm felicitations and sincere good wishes to Your Excellency, the Government and the friendly people of India.”
President Yameen also expressed hope for further consolidation of the long-standing relations that exist between the two countries, and in continuing to strive together to achieve shared vision of peace, progress and regional stability.
The President concluded his message wishing for further peace and prosperity of the people of India.
