The Maldives and Croatia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish regular political consultations aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York following a meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs Iruthisham Adam and Croatian Foreign and European Affairs Minister Gordan Grlić-Radman.
Minister Iruthisham signed the MoU on behalf of the Maldives, while Minister Grlić-Radman signed on behalf of Croatia.
The MoU provides a framework for regular consultations on bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual importance, with the aim of expanding cooperation between the two countries.
The agreement also reflects the two governments' commitment to strengthening the existing ties of friendship between the Maldives and Croatia.
