Vital Care launches specialist health camps in Kaafu Atoll

Vital Care Multi Speciality Clinic has launched specialist health camps in Kaafu Atoll, in collaboration with island councils.

As part of the programme, Vital Care’s team has already visited Kaashidhoo, Huraa and Guraidhoo, providing specialist consultations and health screenings. Specialist doctors taking part include a paediatrician, an internal medicine specialist, and an ENT specialist and a dentist.

According to Vital Care, the camps aim to alleviate difficulties faced in seeking specialist care, and give residents access to quality healthcare within their own islands instead of travelling to Male’. The company said the programme will especially help improve access to dental care in smaller islands.

The camps are also intended to strengthen healthcare services in the islands and encourage knowledge-sharing. Vital Care said it plans to conduct similar camps in more islands in the future.

The company provides healthcare and dental services across different parts of the Maldives. Its clinic in Male’ also provides services to the atolls through Kulhudhuffushi City.
