President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has announced his intention to initiate legal proceedings against individuals responsible for spreading what he categorically denies as "untrue and false" allegations made in a recent video documentary.
The President's strong response came during a press conference at the President's Office, directly addressing a journalist from the Adhadhu online newspaper, which released the video documentary.
"You know you are admitting to making a video that contains a definite lie. I ask all concerned to prosecute all those who made up and spread such lies,” he said, labeling the claims within the documentary as a definite lie.
He expressed no surprise at the release of such content, noting that the same newspaper had previously targeted him with similar videos he insists are based on untruths.
