MCGH CEO highlights doctors’ vital role in the health system

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Male’ City Group of Hospitals (MCGH), Ibrahim Abdul Razzaq Haleem has highlighted the vital role doctors play in maintaining the health system.

He made the remarks in a message shared on social media on the occasion of National Doctors’ Day.

In his message, Haleem extended his greetings and praised doctors for their dedication despite the daily challenges they face. He described their work as a noble and humanitarian service that saves lives. He also recognised their sacrifice of personal time and family life to serve patients.

Haleem further expressed gratitude to doctors for supporting the growth and development of MCGH services. He assured that efforts will continue to strengthen services.

National Doctors’ Day commemorates Dr Abdulla Abdul Hakeem, the first Maldivian trained in modern medicine, marking his entry into national service on 18 April 1964.
