The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been awarded contracts to carry out infrastructure development projects in five islands.
The agreements were signed by the State Minister of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure, Ismail Hameed and MTCC’s Deputy Managing Director Ahmed Shareef Abdul Rahman Yoosuf.
The five projects include harbour development in Mundoo, Laamu Atoll; shore protection in Hoandeddhoo, Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll as well Nilandhoo, Gaafu Alifu Atoll. The shore protection and development of Landhoo of Noonu Atoll’s swimming area and boat dockyard, harbour and jetty construction as well as the development of the island’s swimming area in Angolhitheemu, Raa Atoll were also handed over to MTCC.
MTCC has a track record of implementing multiple infrastructure projects across the Maldives.
