STELCO launches customer service portal ‘Vashani’

State Electric Company Ltd (STELCO) has launched their new customer service portal, 'Vashani', in a targeted effort to further enhance service experience for its customers.

The portal was inaugurated at a special ceremony held at STELCO office by Deputy Managing Director Dr Ali Azwar. He is also the interim head of the company.

Speaking during the ceremony, Dr Ali Azwar said that the newly inaugurated portal offers customers with a seamless experience in accessing STELCO’s services through a singular platform. In this regard, the portal offers bill viewing, payments, status checking through mobile, he said. He also noted that a new service is accessible through the portal, which is acquiring an engineers pass for works that require the permit. It is notable that the portal can be utilised even outside of the country to make payments.

In order to access the portal, customers may opt to use their E-faas or phone number. The portal offers customers to register as individuals or as a business.

Dr Azwar emphasised that the new portal is part of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s strategic vision of Maldives 2.0 and forms a clog for the digital transformation envisioned by the President.
