Annual gov't holidays for last third of Ramadan begins 9 March

Government offices will be closed from Monday, 9 March, during the final ten days of Ramadan to facilitate religious observance.

In accordance with a directive issued by the President’s Office on 4 February 2024, government offices will observe their annual closure during the last third of Ramadan, beginning on 9 March this year.

The directive designates the final ten days of Ramadan, starting from 1445 AH, as official government holidays. The measure is intended to uphold Islamic principles, encourage reflection on Islamic values, and prioritise acts of worship.

Government authorities have been instructed to ensure the continued provision of essential services and to inform the public of revised operating hours during this period.
