New draw to allocate Giraavarufalhu plots scheduled for 31 January

The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure will hold a new draw to determine plot numbers for land being issued from Giraavarufalhu.

The draw follows a new land use plan for the location which was gazetted on 26 January, with 4,072 plots to be allocated under the Binveriyaa Scheme. The previous land use plan had 610 land plots unallocated.

While the new plan revises land plot locations, the draw will be held on 31 January at 09:30 am at the Social Centre hall in Male’ City, conducted by designated Ministry employees. The draw will be broadcast live on PSM.

According to the Ministry, one person per plot may be present at the draw area. If a land recipient cannot attend, a representative can attend on their behalf with written authorisation and ID card copies.

The Ministry said plot details will be available on the Hiyaavehi Portal during the draw, and recipients will receive SMS notification of their plot numbers. The signing of land transfer agreements and transfer of land registration will be announced later.
