The Government of the Maldives has voiced its support for international efforts to restore peace and stability in Yemen, welcoming initiatives led by Saudi Arabia to de-escalate the conflict.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Maldivian government praised Saudi Arabia’s commitment to measures aimed at restoring security and stability in areas reclaimed from fighting.
The Maldives also urged all Yemeni parties to respond positively to these initiatives and to engage constructively in the peace process, saying such efforts were essential to meeting the Yemeni people’s aspirations for development, prosperity, and a lasting peace.
