Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced the opening of applications for its Startup Grant for the year 2025.
In celebration of BML Islamic’s 10th anniversary, a third business will be awarded the grant this year, an increase from the regular two recipients awarded annually.
Each of these businesses will receive a grant of USD 32,425 and along with financial support, the Bank will provide comprehensive financial
advice to guide the winners in successfully executing their business plans.
Individuals and newly registered businesses are eligible to apply.
BML’s CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef said the Startup Grant is part of the Bank’s commitment to support businesses and strengthen its relationship with the start-up ecosystem in Maldives.
“Through the programme, we are nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit of the startup community to create jobs and opportunities to maximise positive impact for society,” he said.
Applications must be emailed to [email protected] before 4:00pm on 7 September.
The BML Startup Grant was launched in 2022 and is targeted for emerging entrepreneurs to win funding to start or grow a business in the Maldives.
