The Maldives Media Institute (MMI) has concluded its School Holiday Camp July 2025 and awarded certificates to the participants. The certificate presentation ceremony was held at the PSM Radio Building.
The camp was held from 2 to 7 August. A total of 130 children aged between 9 and 17 years participated in the six-day programme. The camp featured 10 workshops, including sessions on video editing, coding and sewing and embroidery classes. In addition, television presenting classes, paint and craft classes and vocal classes were also conducted.
MMI’s Senior Administrator Mariyam Rushdha said the camp taught the students important skills.
"These are very useful skills for children of this age group. They are school-aged children, and we are focusing this programme on children between the ages of 8 and 17. Through this programme, they are being equipped with important skills for the future,” Rushdha said.
The students who participated in the MMI presenting workshop shared positive feedback, stating that they had gained valuable knowledge and experience during the camp.
MMI regularly conducts a range of courses and training programmes across various fields. The institute aims to foster interest in the field of media among school students, particularly in the area of presenting.
