President designates 1,500 housing units for professionals

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom on Tuesday designated 1,500 housing units to be developed as part of the second phase of Hulhumalé development project to professionals working for the government within varying fields.

He made the decision following consultations within the Economic and Youth Council.

This initiative is part of the administration’s social housing pledge.
