The Met Office on Tuesday forecast scattered rain, heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms in the central and northern atolls.
Maldives Meteorological Service said apart from a few showers, mainly fine weather is expected in southern atolls.
It said surface winds would vary between south-east and southerly at 5 to 15 miles per hour in southern atolls, west and north-westerly at 13 to 23 miles per hour elsewhere.
The weather office also said winds may gust to 40 miles per hour during showers and that seas are expected to be slight in southern atolls and moderate becoming rough over rest of the country.
