The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Maldives to Luxembourg, Geela Ali, has officially presented her Letters of Credence to the His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg. The ceremony took place at the Grand Ducal Palace in Luxembourg on Thursday.
During the private audience, the Grand Duke warmly welcomed Ambassador Geela and congratulated her on her appointment. In turn, Ambassador Geela conveyed greetings and good wishes from President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and the people of Maldives. She reaffirmed the Maldivian government’s commitment to further strengthening the friendly relations between the two countries during her tenure.
Ambassador Geela was accompanied by her spouse, Abdulla Mushrif, and the First Secretary at the Embassy, Mohamed Shaffau Ibrahim.
In addition to her position as Non-Resident Ambassador to Luxembourg, Geela also serves as the Maldives' Ambassador to Belgium and the European Union.
