In a statement commemorating the Global Day of Parents, he extended greetings and congratulations to families across the nation, recognising the dedication of young and first-time parents as they embrace the challenges of child-rearing.
Designated by the United Nations General Assembly in 2012, the Global Day of Parents serves as a reminder of the fundamental role parents play in shaping the lives of their children. The occasion acknowledges their selfless commitment and highlights the importance of a nurturing family environment in a child's development.
In his statement, President Muizzu highlighted that parents are central to the nation's future, drawing attention to the trials faced by those navigating parenthood for the first time. "On this Global Day of Parents, let us celebrate young and first-time parents who, through countless trials and tribulations, embrace the noble duty of nurturing and shaping future generations," he stated.
