Maldives Broadcasting Commission (MBC) and Public Service Media (PSM) on Wednesday agreed to conduct training programmes in the field of broadcasting and media.
The agreement was signed by Managing Director of PSM Ibrahim Khaleel and President of MBC Mohamed Shaheeb. Under the agreement, PSM would provide training programmes through the Maldives Media Institute (MMI) to new recruits and staff who are currently working in the broadcasting industry.
Speaking after signing the deal, Shaheeb highlighted the important role of media and journalists to the society. Khaleel spoke on the importance of providing relevant education and training to those working in the broadcasting sector.
Since its establishment, MMI had conducted several programmes to train staff of radio and TV stations in the country.
