President urges to back a government fulfilling pledges

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has highlighted the importance of supporting a government dedicated to fulfilling its pledges to the citizens. He made the remarks during a political gathering for residents of Addu City residing in Male' City.

Speaking at the gathering, President Muizzu highlighted his commitment to tangible outcomes and underscored his track record of overcoming challenges over the past five months. He also outlined ongoing development initiatives for Addu, including the progress on the Addu City Bridge, a monumental infrastructure project in the Maldives. He also said that the work of upgrading water supply and electricity services in Addu has also been contracted to a company.

Speaking at the gathering, President Muizzu reiterated his commitment to achieving tangible outcomes and highlighted his track record of overcoming challenges in the last five months. He outlined ongoing development initiatives for Addu, specifically citing progress in the monumental Addu City Bridge project and the contracted improvement of water and electricity services in Addu by a designated company.

Additionally, President Muizzu criticised the idea of electing officials that obstruct progress, adding that such actions only hinder national stability. He also urged the Parliament to empower a government focused on serving the needs of the citizens.

Furthermore, President Muizzu addressed the opposition's retaliatory stance and pledged to prioritise public welfare over political vendettas. He stressed the imperative of collaboration in achieving results, dismissing partisan agendas in favour of effective governance.
