HDC begins subdivision of Binveriya land plots

Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has commenced the process of clearing and subdivision of designated land plots from Binveriyaa Housing scheme. The initiative was officially inaugurated by Managing Director Ibrahim Fazul Rasheed during a special ceremony.

Addressing the media at the inauguration ceremony, Fazul Rasheed noted HDC's commitment to expediting the project, announcing tenants can begin exterior wall construction immediately following the issuance of permits through the online portal. Notably, he disclosed the consolidation of project phases into a single phase, with a focused aim on completion, excluding the area under reclamation in Hulhumale'.

Furthermore, Fazul Rasheed elaborated on the prioritisation of infrastructure upgrades, particularly emphasising the replacement of existing water, sewerage, and electricity networks. He highlighted the collaborative efforts between HDC, State Electric Company Limited (STELCO), and Male' Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) in driving these essential upgrades. Additionally, he outlined ongoing initiatives to relocate stone quarries and reaffirmed the commitment to clearing and segregating all remaining plots.

The Binveriyaa scheme, encompassing a total of 9,001 land plots, including 1,351 in Hulhumale' Phase II, aims to address housing needs and facilitate property ownership for individuals.
