MWSC aims to become a zero carbon company

Male' Water and Sewerage Company Private Limited (MWSC) states that it aims to become a a zero carbon company. Managing Director Abdul Matheen Mohamed made the remarks while speaking at the launch of the company's corporate website and an application to order Taza brand bottled water.

Speaking at the ceremony, Matheen said the website and application will allow the company to provide faster and more convenianct services. He said the company is always working to modernise their services and he also thanked the former company officials for their services.

Additionally, Matheen said that MWSC plans to reduce the use of plastic and the impact of plastic on the environment. He said that the use of glass bottles will ensure that plastic bottles are not thrown into the sea and on the streets, resulting in less environmental damage.

Furthermore, Matheen said companies will give special priority to protect the environment as it is linked to the country's economy. He said the aim is to become a zero carbon company in line with the policies formulated by the government.

Taza brand water is a product of Island Beverages Maldives, which is a subsidiary of MWSC.
