Gov't digitalises services via Transport Online platform

Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation has announced the complete digitisation of its services, now accessible through the newly launched Transport Online platform.

Previously, the services provided by the transport ministry were available online but required users to download forms, manually fill them out, scan, and upload them to the ministry's portal. As such, the newly introduced Transport Online allows individuals to seamlessly fill out forms directly on the platform, extending the convenience to all services, including road and marine vessel registration.

Speaking at the ceremony to launch the platform, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Aishath Nahula highlighted the commitment to further streamline services by implementing a comprehensive platform to digitise and enhance accessibility for users worldwide.

Moreover, Minister of State Ali Solih pointed out the significance of the online platform in improving communication between the ministry and the public. He expressed confidence that the platform would bring positive changes, accelerating the overall service delivery process.

The ministry has also introduced digital driving licences for road vehicles, presenting a more convenient and secure option for users. The changes align with the government's broader initiative to digitise services, marking a positive transformation in the ministry's operations.
