Indian State Minister for External Affairs arrives in Maldives

Minister of State for External Affairs of India V. Muraleedharan has arrived on an official visit to Maldives. He was received at Velana International Airport (VIA) by senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the visit, State Minister Muraleedharan is scheduled to participate in the groundbreaking ceremony of the Gan International Airport Development Project and Addu Reclamation Project facilitated under the Indian Line of Credit. During the visit, he will also call on Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid. He will also participate in the inauguration ceremony of the three tourism zones developed under the High Impact Community Development Project (HICP) in Feydhoo, Hithadhoo, and Hulhudhoo of Addu.

During the two-day visit, an exchange of several Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) will take place between the two countries.
