President instructs MPS to be vigilant of disorder during Ramadan

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has instructed police officers to be vigilant of public disorder during the holy month of Ramadan. He made the remark while inaugurating the traditional feast, Maahefun, organised by the Maldives Police Service (MPS) to mark the approach of the fasting month of Ramadan.

At the function, President Solih noted that incidents of public disorders tend to increase during Ramadan and instructed police officers to be vigilant in order to ensure public safety. He highlighted the efforts being made to ensure peace and stability and urged officers to remain steadfast in enforcing the law.

President Solih joined the Maahefun function with First Lady Fazna Ahmed, Vice President Faisal Naseem, and Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameed, along with police officers and senior officials of MPS, the Maldives Correctional Service (MCS), and the Ministry of Home Affairs.
