Immigration services extended until 2130hrs

Maldives Immigration has extended its service hours due to increased demand for passport services. 

Due to high demand, the authorities have stated that work will continue until 2130 hrs. Immigration revealed tokens to receive passports will be issued until 1500hrs every day from June 14 onwards.

The number of people traveling abroad has also increased more than expected due to the increase in travel facilities after the ease in the closure of borders in many countries following COVID-19.

As per statistics, the average number of applications for local passports is now 800 per day, compared to 200 applications per day.

The main goal is to provide people with convenient services, according to Immigration.
