President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has dissolved the Presidential Commission on Corruption and Asset Recovery, by a presidential decree on March 17.
The commission was formed by a presidential decree on November 17, 2018. It was tasked with recuperating state assets lost between January 1, 2012, and November 17, 2018, to corruption and misappropriation.
Following the dissolution, pending investigations by the commission would be assumed by relevant state institutions.
