Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has revealed 75 recipients of the Hiya social housing flats in Hulhumale’ Phase II have applied to relinquish the flats and acquire new flats under the Vinares housing project.
HDC had opened the opportunity for recipients of Hiya flats from three categories to apply for new flats under the Vinares housing project. As such, HDC revealed 75 recipients of Hiya flats under the categories for doctors and nurses, teachers and civil servants had applied for Vinares flats.
HDC also revealed 96 recipients of flats from the abandoned housing project in Gulhifalhu, as well as 117 individuals who paid the advance to SeaLife Global Private Limited for housing units that were never built had also applied for Vinares flats. HDC said a total of 292 applications have been received so far for the Vinares flats.
The Vinares Housing Project, conducted in Hulhumale’ Phase II, includes 1,344 housing units, all of which are 3-bedroom units. The project is now nearing completion.
