Auditor General’s Office signs MoU on strengthening public sector audit

The Auditor General’s Office of the Maldives has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Audit Department Malaysia on strengthening public sector audit.

The MoU was signed during a special ceremony held on January 27. The MoU was signed by Auditor General of the Maldives Hussain Niyazi and Auditor General of Malaysia Datuk Nik Azman Abdul Majid.

Under the agreement, the two institutions will collaborate efforts to strengthen the public sector governance and audit in both countries. As such, the two institutions will exchange training opportunities, experience and best practices in the sector.
