Transport ministry requests public to submit complaints on taxis that refuse service

Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation has requested the public to submit complaints on any taxis that refuse service.

The transport ministry said it has been receiving complaints that some taxis are refusing service based on the destination. The ministry urged the public to contact the hotline of the ministry to share information of any taxis that refuse service or breach the regulations of service.

Several people have been raising concerns on difficulties faced in acquiring the service of a taxi within Male’. Some drivers are only providing services for longer trips between Male’ and Hulhumale’ or Hulhule’.
