Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has revealed direct bus trips from Male' to Hulhumale' Phase II will be arranged before August.
MTCC said several efforts are being made to establish an easy and accessible transport system for the people living in Hulhumale' Phase II. MTCC currently provides bus services to Hulhumale' Phase II only via a connection from Phase I.
MTCC aims to provide quality transport services to residents of the Greater Male' Region. As such, the state-owned company is working to bring in more buses to expand its services. The company said some of the buses will be brought before August, which will be used for the transportation to Hulhumale' Phase II.
Moreover, MTCC is also working to enhance the bus services in the South of the Maldives. As such, MTCC revealed efforts are ongoing to replace the buses used in Addu City, Fuvahmulah City and Laamu Atoll, as the current vehicles are worn out and in bad condition.
