The Elections Commission of the Maldives (ECM) has revealed it has received no complaints have been filed so far regarding the parliamentary by-election of the Komandoo constituency.
ECM has opened a complaints bureau and three focal points on three islands in the constituency for those who wish to submit complaints regarding the by-election. ECM has said no complaints have been filed so far since the opportunity for submission of complaints has been officially opened. However, the electoral body said the election and campaigning activities are monitored by the commission.
Furthermore, ECM will finalise and publish the final voters' list on January 20 and give a five-day period for re-registration.
Moreover, the debate for the Komandoo constituency has been scheduled for January 25 by Public Service Media (PSM). The by-election is scheduled to be held on February 5.
