Ministry of Finance has announced the liquidation of nine state-owned enterprises (SOEs).
The list of SOEs to be liquidated include Maldives National Broadcasting Corporation Limited, Felivaru Fisheries Maldives Limited, and Koodoo Fisheries Maldives Limited. The list also includes Madivaru Holdings Private Limited, Gan Airport Company Limited, and Works Corporation Limited. In addition, Maldives Road Development Corporation Limited, Hazana Maldives Limited, and National Investment Management Company Limited were also included in the list.
The finance ministry assigned six of the companies for liquidation to AccruPlus LLP in 2016, and one company to the audit firm in 2018. Two of the companies were assigned for liquidation to MHPA LLP in 2019.
The mandate of the SOEs assigned for liquidation has been transferred to other companies.
