Vice President speaks on importance of instilling Islamic values in young children

Vice President Faisal Naseem has reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to upholding and preserving the true values and principles of Islam and urged all to strive hard towards instilling those in young children. He made this remark while speaking at the ceremony held at the Islamic Centre on December 30 to inaugurate the 34th National Quran Recitation Competition.

Speaking at the ceremony, the vice president shed light on the importance of building a better and more productive generation. He then urged schools and other educational institutions to concentrate on developing a good, diligent, capable, and well-educated generation.

Speaking further, Vice President Faisal Naseem emphasised the significance the administration places on teaching young children the Quran and Islamic knowledge. He also noted that the aim of holding a national Quran recitation competition was to encourage children to improve their recitation of the Holy Book within the Tajweed rules.

Concluding his speech, the vice president encouraged everyone to promote unity and kinship. He prayed that the Maldives would continue on the righteous path of Islam and the love and respect for Islam would continue to grow stronger.
