President commences trip to Maafushi

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has departed on a one-day visit to Maafushi, Kaafu Atoll.

The president is visiting Maafushi for the official handover of the newly reclaimed area and picnic island to the Maafushi Island Council. During this visit, President Solih would also inaugurate the new football stadium developed on the island and make stops at Maafushi Prison and Maafushi Health Centre to meet the management and staff.

In Maafushi, the president is also scheduled to meet with members of the Maafushi Island Council and Women’s Development Committee (WDC). He is accompanied by a high-level delegation of government officials.
