Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has opened the sale of 60 land plots in Hulhumale’ Phase II.
HDC announced the area of the land plots to be sold in Hulhumale’ Phase II ranges between 1,603.07 sqft and 2,633.82 sqft. The 60 land plots to be sold includes 26 plots on the beach front and 34 plots on the beach side.
HDC said priority will be given to buyers who are purchasing land plots for the first time. HDC said buyers must not have a residential land plot measuring more than 600 sqft in the Male’ area registered to their name. Only locals above the age of 18 are eligible to apply for the purchase of the land plots.
HDC said prospective buyers can register between January 2-31, 2022. Bids for the beach front plots will be submitted on February 9, while the bids for the beach side plots will be submitted on February 16. For both types of plots, HDC has allocated a bid security of USD 20,000.
Hulhumale’ Phase II was reclaimed in 2017 with the aim of fulfilling the housing needs of the public. The area was first populated in 2020, when individuals who bought private plots moved in. Since then, the recipients of flats under the Hiya housing project conducted in Hulhumale’ Phase II have also started moving in to their flats.
