Unity shown during 2004 Tsunami engraved in the hearts of Maldivians: President

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has stated the unity shown during the 2004 Tsunami disaster is engraved in the hearts of the Maldivian people.

In a tweet sent on the occasion of National Unity Day, President Solih highlighted the exemplary unity shown by the nation in the aftermath of the Indian Ocean Tsunami that devastated the country on December 26, 2004. He noted the unity shown during that day to help each other is engraved in the hearts of all Maldivians even today.

The National Unity Day is marked on December 26 every year, to commemorate the unity and togetherness shown by the country in helping the families affected during the 2004 Tsunami.
