Maldives National University (MNU) has awarded the construction of a Maritime Survival Centre to Maldives Transport and Construction Company (MTCC).
At a ceremony held at MTCC, the agreement was signed by the Chief Executive Officer of MTCC Adam Azim and the Vice-Chancellor of MNU Dr. Mohamed Shareef.
As part of the project to construct the Maritime Survival Centre, MTCC will conduct 1200cbm of landfilling operations, construction of a 35m sheet pile quay wall, a 27.25m L-Section Quay wall, a 4.2m long and a 4m wide ramp, and installation of mooring bollards. The project is scheduled to be completed within 210 days at a cost of the project is over USD 297,000.
MTCC has played an important role in the development of infrastructure and social resources in the Maldives since its inception in 1980.
