Ambassador to Switzerland from the Maldives Dr. Asim Ahmed has presented his credentials to President of Switzerland Guy Parmelin. He presented his credentials at a ceremony held at the Federal Palace of Switzerland.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Asim Ahmed conveyed greetings from President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and the people of the Maldives to President Parmelin and the people of Switzerland. Ambassador Asim further expressed commitment to work closely with the government of Switzerland during his tenure with a renewed focus on enhancing bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the two countries.
During the visit, Ambassador Asim Ahmed also paid a courtesy call to Ambassador Raphael Nägeli, who is the Head of Division Asia and Pacific at the Federal Department for Foreign Affairs. The two ambassadors discussed further strengthening the traditionally close and friendly relations between the two countries.
