The Maldives has received USD 5.1 million as Zakat al-Maal by the end of November.
The statistics published by Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) revealed the USD 5.1 million the state received as of November this year is an increase of 46.2% compared to the same period last year. The state received USD 3 million as Zakat al-Maal, by November last year.
The minimum amount for Zakat al-Maal in the Maldives is USD 445. Any man or woman who meets the minimum requirements of wealth must pay their share of Zakat al-Maal every year.
