Velidhoo road development project contracted to RDC

Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure has contracted Road Development Corporation (RDC) to develop 5 kilometres of roads in Velidhoo, Noonu Atoll.

The contract for the road development project in Velidhoo was signed on November 15. The contract was signed by Director General Zeeniya Ahmed Hameed and Managing Director at RDC Moosa Ali Manik.

The project was contracted to RDC on a design-and-build basis. The scope of the project includes asphalt paving 5 km of roads as well as installation of a stormwater drainage system and street lights.

The project was contracted to RDC at a price of USD 5.7 million. The project is expected to be completed within 450 days.
